Maintenance release, no functional changes.

v1.5.2

Choose a tag to compare

@maxbanton maxbanton released this 30 Sep 12:29
724e899

Raises the minimum Home Assistant version to 2024.12.0.

  • On 2024.11 and older the integration's options (poll intervals) could not be opened. HACS now only offers this version on 2024.12.0 or newer.
  • Tests now also run against 2024.12.0, the oldest supported release.

No functional changes for existing installs on 2024.12 or newer.

v1.5.1

@maxbanton maxbanton released this 29 Sep 08:47
9198d4c

Fixes device entities showing as unavailable after Deye Cloud errors.

  • A failed read on the first poll after startup (for example right after a Home Assistant update) no longer leaves every device entity unavailable until the integration is reloaded. Setup now retries until the cloud returns device data.
  • A single failed poll (HTTP 500 or timeout) no longer blanks the inverter's entities. The last good values are kept for up to 15 minutes; if the cloud stays down longer, entities go unavailable as before.

v1.5.0

@maxbanton maxbanton released this 21 Sep 21:11

Deye is introducing quotas and rate limits on the Cloud OpenAPI, so this release cuts API usage sharply.

Only measurements are read on every poll now. The device inventory is re-read hourly and inverter settings every 15 minutes, with a burst of re-reads right after a write so controls still catch up quickly. For a single inverter that is roughly 8,600 calls a day down to about 1,300.

The default poll interval moves from 60 to 180 seconds, matching the 3 to 5 minutes at which loggers upload to the cloud. Both intervals are adjustable under Configure on the integration entry. If you want the old cadence, set 60 seconds there.

Rate-limit responses now back polling off automatically instead of hammering the API.

Also in this release:

  • Reauthentication. Changing your account password or app secret no longer leaves the integration dead; Home Assistant asks you to sign in again.
  • Actions report problems as proper error messages instead of stack traces.
  • Writes are serialized per platform, so a batch of changes cannot fan out against a rate-limited API.
  • Removal instructions in the README.

v1.4.0

@maxbanton maxbanton released this 06 Sep 20:40

Time Of Use is now exposed slot by slot, plus an Energy Pattern control.

Added

  • Per-slot Time Of Use entities for all six slots: SOC and Time Start
    enabled; Power, Voltage, Grid Charge and Generator available
    per slot, disabled by default. New time and select platforms; writes are
    whole-table read-modify-write, so editing one field leaves the others intact.
  • Energy Pattern select (Load First / Battery First).

Changed

  • Battery current and Low Battery SOC set-points moved to Controls and renamed
    Battery DC Charge/Discharge Current. Only Battery DC Charge Current is
    enabled by default; Discharge Current, Low Battery SOC, Solar Sell and Max Sell
    Power are disabled by default (enable any from the entity settings).
  • The Time Of Use master switch is renamed Time Of Use and moved to
    Configuration.
  • Input validation is limited to universal limits (SOC 0-100, ascending slot
    times); per-model limits are left to the inverter, which rejects unsupported
    values with a visible error.

Removed / breaking

  • Maintain Battery Level Target number is removed; the per-slot TOU Slot N
    SOC
    entities replace it. Automations that set
    number.deye_maintain_battery_level_target should target the per-slot SOC
    numbers or use the deye_cloud.set_tou_schedule service.

v1.3.0

Simpler, tidier controls.

  • Maintain Battery Level (switch) + Maintain Battery Level Target (slider) replace the raw Time Of Use controls; the target sets the SOC held across all Time Of Use slots.
  • Fix Time Of Use writes (time format HHMM to HH:mm) and show the value optimistically until the cloud confirms.
  • Set-once params grouped under Configuration; only essential sensors on by default.
  • Per-slot entities removed (use the set_tou_schedule service for per-slot control).
  • README disclaimer.

v1.2.0

Choose a tag to compare

@maxbanton maxbanton released this 02 Sep 15:57
1c112db

Adds a Battery Maintain SOC number: the battery level the inverter maintains (the Time Of Use Batt %). Setting it writes that percentage across all Time Of Use slots, so it works as a single automatable battery-level knob (lower for solar headroom, higher for backup reserve). Per-slot set_tou_schedule remains for full control.

v1.1.0

Choose a tag to compare

@maxbanton maxbanton released this 02 Sep 15:40
1953b05

Adds Time Of Use control and battery set-points, and removes the work-mode selects in favour of exposing raw inverter parameters.

  • set_tou_schedule and set_tou_days services to write the Time Of Use table (fields match the inverter screen: time, power, batt, grid_charge, gen). This is how the battery charge level is set from automations.
  • Time Of Use on/off switch (active schedule exposed as an attribute).
  • Low Battery SOC number (BATT_LOW).
  • Removed Work Mode and Energy Pattern selects.

v1.0.0

@maxbanton maxbanton released this 02 Sep 15:11
199a51f

First release.

Cloud polling Home Assistant integration for Deye inverters and hybrid storage using the official Deye Cloud OpenAPI.

  • Dynamic measure-point discovery for station and device data, with units taken from the API payload.
  • Correct device and state classes so energy sensors feed the Energy dashboard.
  • Controls: work mode, energy pattern, solar sell, max charge and discharge current, max sell power, confirmed against the asynchronous order status.
  • Config flow with region and developer API credentials.

Install via HACS as a custom repository with category Integration.
