DX Manager v1.2.0 focuses on easier day-to-day control, reusable single-window settings, and internal maintainability.

What's new

  • Added an optional mini control bar for each DeX and single-app scrcpy session.
    • Quickly turn the phone display on or off, send the power key, enter full screen, restore the window size, capture the screen, or bring DX Manager forward.
    • Tooltips show each action and its scrcpy shortcut.
    • Each bar follows and stays associated with its own scrcpy window without covering unrelated sessions.
  • Added per-app profiles for Single-Window mode.
    • Save the current resolution, DPI, bitrate, FPS, launch options, and extra arguments for an Android app.
    • Selecting the same app later automatically restores its saved profile.
    • Profiles can be updated or deleted from the main window.
  • Fixed mouse-wheel scrolling in the Android folder browser.
  • Improved custom-resolution input limits and Korean/English layout alignment.
  • Split the large main/settings forms and file-transfer coordinator into feature-focused components for safer future development. Existing DeX, single-window, ADB, and file-transfer behavior is preserved.

DX Manager v1.1.0 expands reliable file transfer and device-management features while keeping the portable Windows workflow.

What's new

  • Updated bundled scrcpy from 4.0 to 4.1.
  • Added DX Manager-managed drag-and-drop transfer for files and whole folders, preserving folder structure and Korean, Japanese, and other Unicode names on Windows 7/11.
  • Added a configurable phone destination and an Android folder browser.
  • Improved the transfer status window and interruption handling.
  • Display the actual ADB build/version instead of only the protocol version.
  • Simplified virtual-display cleanup using the proper Android global-setting deletion command.
  • Added a verified permission-grant workflow for the optional DX Display Cleaner companion app. The Cleaner APK is not bundled in this release.
  • If you need the DX Display Cleaner app, please contact me through GitHub Issues or by email.
  • Updated the English and Korean README, user guides, FAQs, and technical documentation.

Download DX-Manager-v1.1.0-win-x64.zip, extract it, and run DXManager.exe.

Security notice

As of July 26, 2026, VirusTotal reports one Microsoft machine-learning detection for DXManager.exe (1/69, Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.B!ml). The other 68 VirusTotal engines report it as undetected, and the same file is not detected by up-to-date Microsoft Defender Antivirus on Windows 11 or Malwarebytes on the developer's system.

This is believed to be a false positive related to the application's legitimate keyboard-hook, input-handling, process-management, ADB, and scrcpy functions. The exact executable has been submitted to Microsoft for false-positive review. DX Manager is open source, and users should download it only from this official GitHub repository. Disabling security software is not recommended.

First public release of DX Manager, a Windows utility for managing Samsung DeX virtual displays and independent scrcpy app windows.

Installation

  1. Download the ZIP asset below and extract the entire folder to a user-writable location.
  2. Enable Developer options and USB debugging on the phone.
  3. Connect the phone by USB and approve the RSA debugging prompt.
  4. Run DXManager.exe.

Do not copy only DXManager.exe. Keep the tools, DLL, language, license, and documentation files together.

Default settings

  • DeX and single windows: 1600 x 900, 150 DPI, 8 Mbps, 60 FPS
  • Delay after device detection: 1 second
  • Start minimized to tray: Off
  • Start DeX automatically on connection: Off
