Parley 0.1.0: the first release

WhatsApp, as a real Mac app. Native SwiftUI, Liquid Glass, and notifications you can answer.

Highlights

  • Link in seconds: scan a QR code from WhatsApp › Linked Devices, the same way WhatsApp Web links.
  • Conversations: replies, reactions, edits, delete for everyone, forward, star, find (⌘F).
  • Media: photos, videos, GIFs, stickers and documents. HEIC, MOV and GIF files are converted automatically.
  • Voice messages: record with a live waveform, and play at 1× / 1.5× / 2×.
  • Notifications: inline reply, Mark as Read, call alerts, and a Pause Notifications option.
  • Menu bar: your latest chats with quick reply. The Dock icon is optional.
  • New chats with any number, groups, communities, status updates, starred messages and a media gallery.
  • Settings: open at login, wallpapers, text size, privacy controls, storage.

Install

  1. Download Parley-0.1.0.dmg below and drag Parley to Applications.
  2. The first time you open it, go to System Settings › Privacy & Security › Open Anyway, because the app isn't notarized yet.
  3. Scan the QR code with WhatsApp on your phone.

Requirements: macOS 26 or later, Apple Silicon.

Parley is not affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta. Third-party clients are against WhatsApp's Terms of Service; use at your own risk.
