Parley 0.1.2

A fix for Parley getting stuck the first time you open it.

Fixed

  • Parley now starts after a single "Open Anyway". Before, macOS approved the app but kept blocking the helper Parley uses to connect to WhatsApp, and an alert kept popping up every couple of seconds. Parley now clears the download flag on its own helper once you've approved the app.
  • No more popup loop. If the helper still can't start, Parley stops retrying and shows a one-line Terminal fix with a Copy Command button.
  • Clear message if you run Parley from the disk image. Parley now asks you to move it into Applications first.

Install

  1. Download Parley-0.1.2.dmg below and drag Parley to Applications, replacing any older version.
  2. Open it. If macOS says it can't verify Parley, go to System Settings › Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway. The app isn't notarized yet.
  3. Scan the QR code with WhatsApp on your phone. Already linked? You stay signed in.

Still stuck on an older version? Quit Parley, run xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Parley.app in Terminal, and open it again.

Requirements: macOS 26 or later, Apple Silicon.

Parley is not affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta.
