First release of soi-mcp — IRS income & tax statistics by ZIP, inside your agent. 10 read-only tools over IRS Statistics of Income (SOI) data: the real AGI distribution (the six IRS brackets), income, tax, refundable credits (EITC), deductions, filing-status mix, ZIP comparison, and state totals — aggregated from actual filed returns, not survey estimates. No API key.

  • Claude Desktop (one-click): download mcpwright-soi-0.1.0.mcpb below → Settings → Extensions → Install from file… Nothing to configure — the first ZIP question downloads the SOI dataset into a local store, then every later lookup is instant and offline.

The .mcpb is a uv-type bundle: the host installs the correct-platform dependencies at install time (no vendored libs). Same recipe as edgar-mcp and census-mcp, verified working in Claude Desktop — but zero-config (no key, no env vars).

The SOI ZIP release lags ~2–3 years; tax year 2022 loads by default, and mcpwright-soi refresh <year> loads an older year for comparison.
