Project Overview
- This program consists of several classes to begin with.
Important classes include GraphicalUserInterface, SyllabusDB, JsonClass, JsonToHtmlClass and Syllabus class.
-
The Syllabus class represents a syllabus for a specific course and contains information related to assessments, course outcomes, general information, weekly subjects, and workload. (there also exists separate classes for each of this syllabus information).
-
The JsonToHtmlClass class is responsible for converting JSON data, representing syllabus information, into an HTML format. This conversion facilitates the visualization and presentation of the syllabus data in a human-readable and structured manner. The class reads JSON data from a file, transforms it into an HTML document, and writes the HTML content to a file.
-
The JsonClass is responsible for converting syllabus information into a JSON format and writing it to a file. This class is an integral part of the project's functionality, ensuring data persistence and interchangeability in a structured format.
-
The SyllabusDB class is responsible for managing the connection to the SQLite database used in the project. This class provides a centralized point for establishing a connection to the database, enhancing modularity, and ensuring proper handling of database-related operations.
-
The GraphicalUserInterface class serves as the main class for the GUI application; represents a syllabus with properties like ID, assessment details, course outcomes, general information, weekly subjects, and workload; and contains methods to interact with the database to perform operations such as adding, searching, and deleting syllabus information.
The points mentioned above are just the main components of the GUI class!
