Composition desktop 0.1.0

Composition for macOS, v0.1.0

This is the first release of the Composition app, a notes workspace that runs entirely locally. There's no server to set up. Your notes are stored locally, and search works offline through a bundled Meilisearch.

For now, it's only a desktop app, and the first release is MacOS only. Other platforms coming soon.

It's the same interface as the Composition web app. If you also use the Composition CLI or web app on this Mac, they share the same notes database (~/.composition/composition.db).

Which file to download

• Apple Silicon (M1 and later): Composition-0.1.0-arm64.dmg
• Intel: Composition-0.1.0-x64.dmg

Open the DMG and drag Composition to Applications. The ZIPs contain the same app if you'd rather not use a DMG. The builds are signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple, so they should open without a Gatekeeper warning. Checksums are in SHA256SUMS.txt.

This is an early release, so expect rough edges. Please report problems on the issue tracker.
