Bone Scythe
The Bone Scythe is a soul-harvesting melee weapon. It stores monster imprints, builds Soul Charges, and spends those charges to summon temporary reaped allies.

Withered Rib:
- Rare Wither Skeleton drop.
- 15% base drop chance.
- +3% chance per Looting level.
Soul Essence:
- Blast Soul Sand.
- Gives 0.35 experience.
- Takes 100 ticks.

When the Bone Scythe lands a killing blow on a valid target, it can harvest that target.
Harvesting does two things:
- Stores a
Soul Imprinton the scythe. - Rolls for 1 Soul Charge based on the harvested soul tier.
Limits:
- The scythe stores up to 8 Soul Imprints.
- If a ninth imprint is added, the oldest stored imprint is removed.
- The scythe stores up to 10 Soul Charges.
Valid harvest targets:
- Supported hostile mobs in the roster below.
- Hoglins.
- Iron Golems.
Excluded targets:
- Warden.
- Wither.
- Ender Dragon.
- Unsupported mobs not listed in the summon roster.
An imprint records the harvested soul profile. Summoned reaped souls use real mob types rather than a generic custom entity.
Important details:
- Baby variants are preserved for supported zombie-family mobs and hoglins.
- Slime and Magma Cube size is preserved.
- Captured equipment is replayed on the summoned soul.
- Summoned Slime and Magma Cube souls are forced not to split on death.
- Reaped Evokers can create up to 2 tracked
Reaped Vexhelpers.
Soul Charges are stored resource points.
When you open a summon window:
- All stored Soul Charges are consumed.
- Each charge becomes 1 temporary summon weight.
- The summon window lasts 10 seconds.
- Unused summon weight refunds back into Soul Charges when the window closes, capped at 10 charges.
Each soul has a weight equal to its tier. For example, a Tier 3 soul costs 3 summon weight.

The keybinds can be changed in Minecraft's controls menu under More Swords Mod.
To summon a soul:
- Harvest valid mobs until the scythe has at least one imprint.
- Gain at least one Soul Charge from harvest rolls.
- Right click to open a summon window.
- Sneak + right click to choose the stored imprint you want.
- Right click during the window to summon it.
Rules:
- A summon consumes its stored imprint permanently.
- Summons do not return their imprints when they expire or are recalled.
- You can have up to 3 active reaped souls at once.
- Summons last 15 seconds by default.
- The
Ossuaryenchantment adds 5 seconds of summon lifetime per level. - Summons are bound to the owner and should not be friendly-fire targets.
- Summons prefer the owner's recent combat target, recent attacker, or nearby hostile mobs.
- Summons follow the owner and can teleport back if they fall too far behind.
Final Recall dismisses active reaped souls early.
Default input:
- Hold Shift.
- Left click while aiming at empty space.
- Bone Scythe must be held in either hand.
Refund behavior:
- Only summons recalled before half of their lifetime has elapsed are eligible.
- Eligible summon weight refunds 50% back as Soul Charges.
- Refunds are capped by the 10 charge storage cap.
- Imprints are still consumed permanently.
Grave Garrison pulls active summons back to the player and focuses nearby threats.
Default input:
- Middle click while holding the Bone Scythe.
Details:
- 3 second cooldown.
- Teleports active summons into a ring around the player.
- Can recover tracked summons from another dimension if possible.
- Focuses the owner's recent combat target, recent attacker, or a nearby hostile target within 18 blocks.
- If no focus target is found, summons hold near the player.
While the owner holds the Bone Scythe, active summons can show soul particle links back toward the owner.
This is visual feedback that the summon is still owner-bound.
Ossuary is a Bone Scythe-only treasure enchantment.
