Etar Calendar Not Working With microG

When logging into a Google account on a device with the microG sign in, the phone settings then shows the Google account has been added, but when trying to do something in Etar, it is not recognizing that the account has already been added in and added to the device.

So I tried to sign in anyways, and then it comes back saying the account already exists, so it seems that Etar lacks microG support.

Check if you have setup DavDroid or contact sync correctly.

To have Google sync work on a Google ROM, you simply log into your Google Account on the device, so it's registered and seen by apps you are going to snyc with like the Contacts or Calendar.

If you try to just add a Google account in the settings and this is all you do, this does not work.

This is about doing it only with microG and not DAVx5, which it's called, not DavDroid.

The problem is when adding the Google account in the phone settings applications don't recgonize the account being setup through microG.

So I filed this report, in hopes of getting applications that still do not recgonize the Account in the Settings to recgonize them.

DAVx5 works fine, this was not a DAVx5 report.

Using DAVx5 is also circumnavigating the issue here, the lack of microG support.

AFAIK, AOSP Contacts-Calender system needs Source Adapter something like google sync^ or DavX5* . Ref : Shadow53 NoGapps guide

This out of scope for microG. A custom adapter has to be developed like nextcloud or Etesync, has done it.
