VSCode just enabled the new "Modern UI". Why did you guys change a great, functional UI and introduce one with reduced click targets and reduced screen real esate? If you look at it, I'm losing a few pixels of information to the new rounded decorations. This is simply worse - it's not that it looks worse (it looks okay), but I'm giving up a few pixels in a bunch of places and this strictly reduces my productivity with literally nothing in return.
Folks, this isn't a trendy app, it's VSCode. It needs first and foremost to be functional. This is a crowd that uses vi, compilers, debuggers. We don't care about fancy decorations, we care about making code as fast as possible. Every little thing you add that reduces my productivity appears in my individual business bottom line. If you really insist in this direction, please make sure to leave the old UI around forever (I disabled the experiment already).
