Code Flow v0.1.0-preview.7
Code Flow 0.1.0-preview.7
Run your installed coding agents in one local workspace. This is an early preview.
What changed
- A simpler conversation-first workspace: cleaner task boards, People and Connections pages, compact browser feedback, and fewer controls around results.
- Results show the next step: update an outdated PR, wait for checks, merge when ready, or archive a clearly labeled test run. Updating and merging recheck GitHub state, and archiving preserves branches and files.
- GitHub issues and failing Dependabot PRs use a focused Fix & review workflow with completion checks and independent review. Choose a single agent, a team pattern or a saved template; green PRs are left for you to merge.
- Faster adaptive-team planning and execution, improved Antigravity handoffs, and clearer recovery when a check fails. Checks and review remain part of the workflow.
- Ask in chat to set up a preview or collect screenshots and screen recordings when useful. Optional visual evidence can be attached to PRs through committed evidence files.
- Fix orphaned mission-run deletion and preserve completed work for follow-up messages. Browser tabs and review comments are easier to use.
- Includes the opt-in local and SSH model-training preview from main: training runs, a model registry, evaluation and promotion, serving, and monitoring. Enable it in Settings when needed.

Installation channels
- npm: publishing this GitHub release automatically publishes the attached tarball and updates both
latestandpreview. After npm processing completes, usenpx @midhunxavier/code-flow@previewornpm install -g @midhunxavier/code-flow@preview. - macOS: choose the arm64 DMG for Apple Silicon or x64 for Intel. Drag Code Flow to Applications. Node is bundled; the app opens its own Electron window. Closing the window keeps agents working; use Code Flow → Quit to stop. Chrome or Edge is required for the shared browser. Files marked
unnotarizedare developer builds and macOS may block them. - Linux: use the npm launcher.
- Windows desktop: extract the unsigned portable ZIP and open Code Flow.exe with an initialized WSL2 distribution. Node is bundled; install Git and agent CLIs in WSL and sign in there. Docker Desktop is not required. This WSL2 preview still needs real Windows acceptance testing. The npm launcher remains available through WSL2.
- Homebrew: the attached
code-flow.rbis generated from the tarball checksum. Copy it toFormula/code-flow.rbin the maintainer's Homebrew tap before advertisingbrew install midhunxavier/code-flow/code-flow.
The Windows desktop stores history in ~/.codeflow-desktop/<installation-id>/state inside WSL. The npm launcher and macOS app use ~/.codeflow. History survives replacing the app. Read the Windows WSL2 setup guide or the installation guide.
Code Flow v0.1.0-preview.6
Code Flow 0.1.0-preview.6
Run your installed coding agents in one local workspace. This is an early preview.
What changed
- Connect GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Linear, Jira, Slack and webhooks from a project's Connections page. Guided setup tests authentication before saving and keeps imported issues and PRs in the selected project and repository.
- Reuse GitHub CLI authentication and start issue, PR review or failing-check tasks. Publishing and comments remain explicit actions; GitLab and Bitbucket CI-log support is still planned.
- Share a project through guided secure access, help teammates connect their computers, and revoke pending invitations from People and access.
- Choose a new provider, message, model and effort in the fork dialog; a chat forks only when you press Send. The original draft stays intact when you cancel.
- Save app-managed integration credentials encrypted on the server, preserve administrator-managed configuration, and select project notifications with an explicit test-delivery action.
- Includes AI-team planning and recovery fixes, Antigravity CLI 1.4.6 support, repository check-timeout settings and a deferred Integrations screen that preserves the startup bundle budget.

Code Flow v0.1.0-preview.5
Code Flow 0.1.0-preview.5
Run your installed coding agents in one local workspace. This is an early preview.
What changed
- Windows desktop preview for x64 and ARM64: the Electron window runs on Windows, while the backend and agents run in an initialized WSL2 distribution. Docker Desktop is not required.
- The app bundles a pinned Linux Node.js and npm runtime, reuses WSL agent logins, and keeps agents running when the window closes. Quit stops only this app's backend.
- Windows packaging now handles CRLF checkouts correctly, with checks for the executable, UI assets, archive contents and checksums. CI also tests the actual Windows-produced Linux runtime on Ubuntu.
- Includes the latest repository and worktree interface fixes, consistent subprocess state paths, and exclusion of temporary rebuild files from release packages.

Code Flow v0.1.0-preview.4
Code Flow 0.1.0-preview.4
Run your installed coding agents in one local workspace. This is an early preview.
What changed
- App releases now automatically publish the exact tested npm tarball and update both
latestandpreview. - The publisher verifies release checksums and registry integrity, waits for npm processing, and checks fresh installs through both channels.
- Publishing retries preserve existing versions and never move channels backward to an older release.

Code Flow v0.1.0-preview.3
Code Flow now includes desktop update controls and uses its existing stacked-layers logo throughout the app.
What changed
- Check for updates in Settings → General and the native Code Flow menu, plus a sidebar notice when a newer version is available.
- Background update checks on launch and every six hours, with matching Apple Silicon/Intel installers and separate stable/preview selection.
- Native download and restart support for future signed/notarized releases, including active-agent confirmation and backend shutdown before installation.
- The stacked-layers logo replaces the old blue logo in the desktop icon, browser tab, documentation and README.
- Guided connections for other devices and project invitation links.
- Shared browser capture stays aligned with the selected tab after opening and closing tabs.
- Retryable update failures, sandboxed desktop IPC, and tests for update selection, restart protection and accessibility.
Download
These are unnotarized developer previews, matching the existing release channel. macOS may block them. This preview's update button opens the matching installer; automatic app replacement requires signed/notarized releases. Older desktop versions need one manual upgrade to get the update controls. Quit Code Flow before replacing it in Applications. Settings and history in ~/.codeflow are preserved.
The macOS app requires macOS 13+, Git 2.38+, an installed and signed-in coding CLI, and Chrome or Edge for the shared browser. Node is bundled.

Code Flow 0.1.0-preview.1
Code Flow 0.1.0-preview.1
Run your installed coding agents in one local workspace, using their existing logins. This is an early preview.
Try the preview
With Node.js 22.13+ and Git 2.38+ installed:
npx @midhunxavier/code-flow@previewCode Flow starts locally and opens its sign-in link in your default browser. Keep the terminal open while you work; press Ctrl+C to stop. Install and sign in to at least one supported agent CLI before starting a run.
For a persistent installation:
npm install -g @midhunxavier/code-flow@preview
codeflowThe product is Code Flow. The npm package uses the @midhunxavier scope because npm rejected the unscoped name as too similar to an existing package. The installed commands remain codeflow and code-flow.
Exact release tarball
You can also run the same tested package directly from this release:
npx --yes --package=https://github.com/midhunxavier/code-flow/releases/download/v0.1.0-preview.1/midhunxavier-code-flow-0.1.0-preview.1.tgz codeflowmacOS downloads
Drag Code Flow to Applications and open it. Node is bundled; use the menu bar to reopen the browser or quit the server. Git and a signed-in agent CLI are still required. macOS 13+ is required for the app.
These DMGs are unnotarized developer builds. macOS may block them. Use npm for ordinary installation until signed and notarized builds are available.
Platforms and data
- macOS and Linux: use npm, or the macOS app where applicable.
- Windows: use WSL2, with Node, Git, agent CLIs and the repository installed inside WSL. Native Windows execution is not supported in this preview.
- Homebrew: the attached
code-flow.rbis generated from the exact tarball checksum. The maintainer's Homebrew tap is not published yet; use npm meanwhile.
Settings and history live in ~/.codeflow and survive reinstalling. Open Help & documentation inside the app, or read the installation guide for this version.
The npm install was tested outside the source checkout on macOS and Linux in CI. Native macOS startup, normal quit and forced-close cleanup were tested on Apple Silicon. Both DMG architectures were built; Intel hardware and end-to-end WSL browser integration were not tested.
