Yet-Another-Thirst features various ways to quench your thirst, ranging from drinking direct environmental water to crafting custom beverages and consuming mod-supported drinks.

Environmental Drinking

1. Rain Drinking

If it is raining in your location, you can quench your thirst by looking directly up into the sky. (Can be disabled via drinkRainWater in config).

2. Hand Drinking

You can drink directly from open water blocks (rivers, oceans, lakes) by Shift + Right-Clicking the water block with an empty hand.

• Disabled by default for balance (enable via canDrinkByHand in config).
• Restores 3 thirst and 2 quenched bonus by default.
• Purity effects from the water source apply directly to the player when hand drinking.

Mod Beverages

Yet-Another-Thirst adds several custom drinkable items:

• Terracotta Water Bowl: Crafted by filling a terracotta bowl from a water source/cauldron.
• Wooden Water Bowl: Crafted by filling a wooden bowl from a water source/cauldron.

Vanilla & Compatibility Drinks

A large number of items are registered as drinks by default. Below is a summary of built-in drink configurations:

Vanilla Minecraft

• Water Bottle (minecraft:potion with water): Restores 6 thirst, 8 quenched.
• Honey Bottle: Restores 3 thirst, 4 quenched.
• Milk Bucket: Restores 2 thirst, 4 quenched.

Yet-Another-Thirst provides out-of-the-box configuration support for several popular mods:

AppleSkin Integration

When AppleSkin is installed:

• Thirst and quenched restoration values are appended directly to drink tooltips.
• The thirst HUD previews the restoration amounts when holding a drink.
