Purification

Yet-Another-Thirst requires players to boil water in order to increase its purity and eliminate harmful pathogens.

Boiling Mechanics

You can purify water containers using a Furnace (Smelting) or a Campfire (Campfire Cooking). Cooking or smelting a filled water container upgrades its purity by exactly +1 level per step:

Input Purity Furnace / Campfire Output Resulting Purity Level
0 (Dirty) $\rightarrow$ 1 (Slightly Dirty)
1 (Slightly Dirty) $\rightarrow$ 2 (Acceptable)
2 (Acceptable) $\rightarrow$ 3 (Purified)

Supported Items

  • Water Bottle (minecraft:potion with water)
  • Terracotta Water Bowl (yet_another_thirst:terracotta_water_bowl)
  • Water Bucket (minecraft:water_bucket)

Crafting Custom Bowls

To boil water in bowls, you must use terracotta. Wooden bowls cannot be smelted or cooked.

1. Clay Bowl

  • Crafted using 3 Clay Balls (shaped like a bucket or glass bottle).

2. Terracotta Bowl

  • Smelt a Clay Bowl in a Furnace or cook it on a Campfire.

3. Terracotta Water Bowl

  • Use a Terracotta Bowl on any water source block, running water, or water-filled cauldron to fill it.
