Initial release of @misofm/codec: storage-neutral FLAC encoding and asynchronous streaming decoding with Bun and Effect v4, backed by pinned libFLAC 1.5.0 WebAssembly.

  • Bounded mono/stereo 16-bit and 24-bit PCM encoding with caller-owned random-access output.
  • Streaming metadata and PCM decoding with backpressure, cancellation, and FLAC integrity checks.
  • Universal Wasm assets with a Node/Bun loader and documented browser-worker integration.
  • Verified packed consumers on Bun, Node, Chromium, Firefox, and WebKit with both supported Effect peers.

The initial release is published through the local npm CLI to establish the package. It has no CI provenance attestation. The repository contains an OIDC release workflow for subsequent releases and verifies registry tarball equality before running the full consumer matrix.

The npm trusted publisher is configured for misofm/codec and npm-publish.yml. The registry verification workflow passed qualification, exact artifact comparison, all consumer combinations, and signature verification. This verify-only run did not perform an OIDC publication.
