Master Chef 1.0.3 — Complete game and visual package

Choose a tag to compare

@mitchaiet mitchaiet released this 30 Sep 01:58

The complete Master Chef package now includes the rebuilt 1.0.3 / build 103 visionOS app and the full visual setup used by Build91.

Download MasterChef-v1.0.3-Complete.zip for the complete bundle. It includes:

  • The fresh unsigned ARM64 visionOS app and matching public source.
  • All 32 campaign, multiplayer, UI, shared texture and sound map files, the supported executable, shader binaries and string resources.
  • Original startup configuration and four movie files.
  • 1,068 texture replacements and 13 shader replacements, byte-for-byte identical to the installed Build91 packs.
  • CEnshine shader source/license, asset notices, the runtime-settings record, updated header, setup instructions and per-file SHA-256 manifests.

The public source build previously omitted the mod packs. Both direct and Xcode builds now include them automatically. A source checkout fetches and verifies the separately attached visual-assets ZIP; the Complete bundle reuses its local packs without another download.

Your own valid Halo PC registration and Apple signing are required. Product keys, private registry values, saved games, personal profiles, device identifiers, provisioning, signing credentials and private development history are excluded. The precompiled app is unsigned; the guided setup creates your private configured app for Xcode to sign and install.

From the extracted Complete bundle, use your private registry export:

./setup.sh --bundled --registry "/path/to/private/halo-install.reg"

Or follow the existing owned-ISO workflow with ./setup.sh "/path/to/HALO.iso". See the Complete release guide and agent instructions.

Validation: fresh generation and Release compile (59 native units, 24 Swift sources), exact pack hashes, Xcode resource inclusion, nine asset/content regressions, 24 setup regressions and the portable source suite passed locally. Source, staged changes and public Git history passed secret scans. The complete payload was checked for the original owner's identity/registration/signing values without publishing them. Every archived file is verified against its manifest.

Build91 was installed and startup-verified on a headset. Build103 retains those runtime fixes and adds packaging/resource setup; it is not a new full-campaign qualification. Known issues, including combat FPS, panorama seams and audible continuity, remain. Hosted Actions have been unable to start because of an account billing restriction; local passes are not hosted CI results.

MIT covers original project code. Game content and third-party mod assets retain their respective rights and notices; CEnshine source/license is included. Use the .sha256 file next to each ZIP to verify its download.

The feature and package inventory maps the current capabilities, included downloads and validation limits. The main branch additionally exposes the standalone shader adapter and synthetic tests; the tagged release binaries and ZIP checksums are unchanged.

Master Chef 1.0.2 — rendering and audio recovery

@mitchaiet mitchaiet released this 29 Sep 20:38

Master Chef 1.0.2 fixes renderer state exhaustion and audio recovery, sharing the runtime changes prepared for private Build91.

  • Independent U/V texture addressing and mirror modes now render instead of rejecting valid draws.
  • Bounded sampler and depth/stencil caches replace old entries instead of permanently refusing new material states when full.
  • Failed foreground audio activation, queue rebuilds and queue starts retry every two seconds while respecting app lifecycle and interruption permissions.
  • The README now has a generated master chef header, with its prompt and provenance documented.

Validation: the full local source suite passed (59 C checks plus Objective-C, Metal, Swift and Python), as did the portable sanitizer suite and focused renderer/audio sanitizers. GPU regressions cover 768 sampler requests, 192 depth/stencil states and 450 exact pixel comparisons. The source tree, ZIP and public Git history passed privacy scans; every ZIP file matches the included SHA-256 manifest.

Two short desktop entry probes completed for Halo and The Maw. The owner Build91 was subsequently installed and launched on September 29; independent app inventory and five exact-build diagnostic snapshots verified startup with immersive rendering and the audio queue active. Full headset gameplay is not validated. Stable combat FPS, panorama stitching and uninterrupted audible playback remain open acceptance items. Hosted GitHub Actions could not start because of an account billing issue; these are local passes, not hosted CI results. See validation and known issues.

This is a source-only release. Supply your own retail Halo PC disc/ISO, valid product key, supported executable and Apple signing. No game files, generated engine, signed app, signing secrets or private development history are included. The source app metadata is 1.0.2/build 102; owner Build91 uses a separate build-number series.

Start with ./setup.sh --help after extracting the ZIP, then follow setup or agent setup. MIT covers original project code; third-party notices remain included.

The E and F in the generated header have since been corrected on the main branch. The tagged source archive and its checksum remain unchanged.

Halo Vision 1.0.1 — guided setup

Choose a tag to compare

@mitchaiet mitchaiet released this 29 Sep 03:31

Adds guided setup from your owned Halo PC ISO and dedicated coding-agent instructions.

git clone https://github.com/mitchaiet/master-chef.git
cd master-chef
./setup.sh "/path/to/HALO.iso"

The wizard guides the original installer and your local PC 1.10 update, imports private installation values, prepares the engine and bundled game data, and opens Xcode for your Apple signing and Vision Pro installation. Existing PC 1.10 installations can be imported without Wine.

You supply your own retail Halo PC ISO, valid product key, PC 1.10 update, and Apple signing. Enter the key in the original installer; no key is accepted through chat or a setup flag. This is a guided process: the original installer/update and Apple signing/trust prompts need human interaction. No game files, keys, generated engine sources, signing data or prebuilt apps are distributed.

Validated locally: 24 synthetic setup regressions, the portable source suite (32 C checks and additional checks), real ISO recognition/read-only mount cleanup, Xcode resource inclusion, archive integrity and secret scanning. A fresh Wine installation and the full ISO-to-headset path remain unverified; the validation Mac did not meet the 12 GiB free-space requirement. This release makes no new gameplay or performance claim.

The source ZIP includes a per-file SHA-256 manifest and preserves the executable permission on setup.sh. The companion checksum covers the entire archive.

Halo Vision 1.0.0 — source release

Choose a tag to compare

@mitchaiet mitchaiet released this 29 Sep 03:04

First public source release of Halo Vision, an unofficial native Apple Vision Pro port of Halo: Combat Evolved for PC. Original project code is MIT-licensed; third-party licenses are retained.

You must supply your own Halo PC retail disc or ISO and valid product key, prepare the supported PC 1.10 installation, and sign the app with your own Apple account. Game files, keys, texture packs, generated engine code, signing material, and a prebuilt app are not included.

The source suite and an unsigned visionOS build were validated on Apple Silicon. Combat frame rates, panorama stitching, texture stability, and audio remain areas of active work; this release does not establish full-campaign or headset acceptance.

The attached source ZIP includes a per-file SHA-256 manifest. Its companion .sha256 file verifies the complete archive.
