Raspberry Pi SD card image
image_2026-09-04-CybICS.img.xz (1550 MB compressed, ~4.3 GB written)
64-bit Raspberry Pi OS with every CybICS container pre-loaded. Nothing
is downloaded on first boot.
Writing it to an SD card
Identify the card first — dd overwrites whatever you point it at,
and the wrong device destroys that disk:
lsblk -dpno NAME,SIZE,MODEL
Then, with the card unmounted and /dev/sdX replaced by the device
you just identified (the whole device, not a partition such as
/dev/sdX1):
sudo umount /dev/sdX* 2>/dev/null; true
xzcat image_2026-09-04-CybICS.img.xz | sudo dd of=/dev/sdX bs=4M conv=fsync status=progress
sync && sudo eject /dev/sdX
Writing takes a few minutes. Raspberry Pi Imager also accepts the
.img.xz directly under "Use custom" if you prefer a GUI.
First boot takes several minutes
On the first boot the device loads about 880 MB of container images
into Docker before anything starts. On a typical card that takes
8 to 10 minutes, and the web interface is unreachable until it
finishes. This happens once; later boots start in seconds.
Progress can be watched over SSH:
ssh pi@10.0.0.1 'systemctl status cybics-first-boot'
Connecting
The device brings up a WiFi access point. It is named cybics until
the STM32 reports its ID, then becomes cybics-<id>, so look for
both. Password 1234567890, the device is 10.0.0.1.
Login is pi / raspberry. Change it before putting the device
on any network you care about.
