Pokéwalker 0.3.0 — the watt economy
Three new systems, all opt-in and off by default — an untouched install behaves exactly like 0.2.x. Import the attached pokewalker-0.3.0.zip from the launcher (MODS → Import mod .zip); delete the old version first. Balance targets a full arc in about a month at 10,000 steps/day.
Watts (option: WATTS)
Steps charge a currency — 20 steps = 1W — spent in a new WALKER entry in the START menu: Poké/Great/Ultra Balls, Nugget, PP Up, Rare Candy, a pick-your-stone evolution stone row, and a Master Ball at 2,500W. A Pokéwalker trainer card shows your watts, lifetime steps, streak, armed gear, and next milestone.
Radar charges (in the shop)
Buy one and it arms instantly; your next steps through grass or water force a special encounter. Spent when the battle fires — win, lose, catch, or flee. One at a time.
- BLUE 500W — uncommons (Ditto, Tangela, Scyther, Pinsir, Onix)
- SILVER 1,500W — Safari Zone exclusives in real battles (Chansey, Kangaskhan, Tauros, Dratini) plus the three original starters at Lv.15
- GOLD 5,000W — the legendary birds at Lv.50, flavored by where you walk (surf → Articuno, caves → Moltres)
- DIAMOND 10,000W — Mewtwo Lv.70… or sometimes Mew Lv.30
Radar legendaries never consume the game's own static encounters — the Victory Road Moltres is still yours to fight.
Step gifts (option: STEP GIFTS)
Pokémon join you at journey milestones, counted from when you enable the option (never retroactive): Eevee 10k → Hitmonlee/Hitmonchan 25k → Porygon 50k → Lapras 100k → Snorlax 150k → Aerodactyl 200k → Mew 300k.
Streaks (options: STREAKS, DAILY GOAL)
Consecutive goal days multiply EXP and watt earnings — ×1.1 @ 3, ×1.25 @ 7, ×1.5 @ 14, ×2 @ 30 (cap) — plus +500W per completed week and a free Master Ball at day 30. The Streak Shield (250W) auto-bridges exactly one missed day.

- Step level-ups now trigger level evolutions, exactly like a rare candy.
