GoldenEye Recomp Community Fix v2.2.0
This cumulative Windows x64 build contains every previously released native
audio and tank-control repair, plus the dead-body fade and Frigate water
repairs.

- 007 watch/pause-menu music
- Mission Select music after abort, failure, and completion
- Control and Caverns elevator/X-track transitions
- Correct level or elevator music after closing the watch
- Horizontal and vertical tank mouse aiming while driving with W/A/S/D
- Dead enemies remain visible and use the original delayed fade
- Frigate animated water in enhanced-graphics mode, including beside the
speedboat, from low camera positions, and at the horizon - Normal Explorer launch without manually supplying
--game_data_root
Install
- Set up GoldenEye Recomp 1.2.4 for Windows with its normal
assetsfolder. - Back up the existing
GoldenEye.exe. - Copy the new
GoldenEye.exefrom the ZIP into that folder. - Keep the existing
assetsfolder and runtime DLLs beside it.
The release does not contain or modify game audio, textures, skydomes, XEX,
ROM, or other original game assets. Native music playback uses the user's
existing XACT banks directly; no extracted WAV files are used.
Validation
- Rebuilt with the recorded Windows release preset (
-O3 -DNDEBUG). - Smoke-tested with the stock SunJaycy 1.2.4 runtime DLLs.
- Gameplay-tested for native music transitions and tank mouse aiming.
- Frigate water validated beside the speedboat, from the lower deck, and at
the horizon. - Body persistence and the original delayed fade validated on NVIDIA hardware.
