3. Work Order LGM
The Work Order is used to authorise the whole manufacturing operation for the request sheet, and to move + reserve ingredients needed for the manufacturing process.
Unlike previous Doctype instance creations, the Work Order LGM and Job Card LGM can be created using their parent Doctype, because they have to be created in this sequence:
Technological Request Sheets LGM -> Work Order LGM -> Job Card LGM
This means that the Technological Request Sheets can create the Work Order, and the Work Order can create the Job Card(s).
While still on the page of the SUBMITTED work order, select the newly-appeared "Create Work Order LGM" button. This creates the Work Order, fills in the correlated details from the corresponding Technological Request Sheet, and saves it (NOT SUBMITTED YET).
Note
These create Doctype buttons only appear after the current Doctype instance has been submitted. This is because you shouldn't create a new Doctype instance based off a parent Doctype that you haven't finalised by submitting.
If successful, you should see the success dialogue. You can select the "View Work Order" button to be brought over to the newly created Work Order LGM Doctype instance.
In the newly created Work Order, you can see that the name follows the Work Order's own naming series and running numbers, with the "Not Started" status. The Work Order's numbers needn't necessarily correspond to its Technological Request Sheet. The weighing table contains the details from the compounding and curing ingredient tables filled in from the Technological Request Sheet, separated by ingredient type (stages, i.e. Compounding or Curing) and Mix No.
The only field that needs to be filled in by the user is the Source Warehouse. All the source warehouse fields have been autofilled with the "Unused Work In Progress" warehouse by default, as that is where extra leftover materials from previous Work Orders and Job Cards are stored. However, the user can manually change the source warehouse by just clicking the field and substituting it with their desired warehouse.
Upon saving and submitting, you will be notified if any of the ingredient-warehouse pairs you selected have insufficient stock. You then have the option of changing the source warehouse, or performing a manual Stock Entry of the Material Transfer type to transfer the ingredients to the needed warehouse. If you initially created the item with a sufficient amount of starting stock, the starting stock will be sitting in the "Stores" warehouse, so you can use either method to ensure the stock requirements for the warehouse are fulfilled. If you are adding new ingredient stock to the warehouse, you will have to open the Stock Entry Doctype, and submit a new entry with the type "Material Receipt" for the new stock to show up on the system.
