4. Job Card LGM

Description

A job card is a portion of a tasks for a work order. The work order represents the whole manufacturing workflow, while the job cards represent the individual steps within the workflow (i.e. 1 job card for compounding, 1 job card for curing). The job cards are also used to keep track of when the task has been worked on, and by which employees.

Generally, the job card sequence is supposed to be compounding -> curing, so the job cards are created in that sequence, but there is no code enforcing that one must be submitted before the other to allow for flexibility.

Creation

Similar to creating the Work Order from the Technological Request Sheet, create the Job Card from the submitted Work Order.

You'll see a success dialogue, alongside a button to click which will bring you to the first job card created this time (in case there are multiple).

Note

This job card creation button creates job cards for any stage/ingredient card that is not in a submitted state (left in draft/cancelled). So, if a job card for the curing stage was previously created, but was then cancelled, pressing the job card creation button will result in only that job card being created to replace the cancelled one.

Upon clicking the button to view the first job card, you will be able to see the details of the unsubmitted job card.

Before starting, fill in the "Last Employee" field with the employee number of the employee who will be handling the shift. The last employee name field will then be fetched from the employee details and autofilled.

When the task is ready to be performed, click on the "start" button in the top right corner to start the shift timer.

image

The timer should then begin ticking, and the time logs should now have a new row. The "To Time" field should still be empty, as the timer hasn't been stopped yet.

image image

Now, scroll down to the ingredients table, and fill in the actual weight measured of the ingredients.

image

When a time log/shift is complete, end the timer by clicking "complete".

image

Then, fill in the completed quantity of the time log. Based on the current business logic, the required quantity is just 1. So, ensure that the quantity sum is below 1 if you need to add more time logs afterwards.

image

When the completed quantity reaches 1, the time log timer buttons will disappear, and the save button will be replaced by a submit button. Submit to confirm the completion of the task.

Upon submission, the ingredients used in the process will be consumed via a Material Issue stock entry, based on the Actual Weight measured in the Ingredients table, and disappearing from the system. If the total sum of the actual ingredient's weight over all mixes are lesser than the sum of the requested weight, the leftover amount will be sent to the Unused WIP Warehouse, to ensure the leftover materials can be used for future Work Orders.

Additionally, once all the job cards for a particular work order have been submitted, items under the Product category will be created based on the parent Technological Request Sheet's "Reference No" field, one for each mix. For example, if the reference no is "PROD-I", and there are a maximum of 3 mixes selected across the ingredients, items PROD-I/1, PROD-I/2, and PROD-I/3 will be created via an automatic Material Receipt Stock Entry, with a quantity of 1 for each.
