Kroma Ecosystem 2.5.0 for Mac

What's new in this build
- Native menus. File → New Page (⌘N) and Search (⌘K). Go → Docs, AI, PDF, OCR, Transcribe, Reader, Recall, Slides and Audio Lab (⌘1–⌘9), All Studios (⇧⌘H), Back and Forward (⌘[ / ⌘]).
- Window size and position are remembered between launches.
- About window shows the version.
- Apple Vision OCR: if it can't read a page, OCR now falls back to the built-in offline engine.
- Security: the app runs sandboxed, with a content security policy and checks on every native call. No telemetry.
- Size: about half the size of the previous build (255 MB, was 533 MB).
- Every studio was rebuilt in this release: a crash-safe 10-hour recorder, FSRS flashcards, PDF viewer and annotations, searchable-PDF OCR, page history in Docs, and more.
Installing
- Open the DMG and drag Kroma Ecosystem into Applications.
- The app is signed ad-hoc but not notarized by Apple, so the first launch is blocked. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway.
- To check the download, run
shasum -a 256 Kroma-2.5.0-arm64.dmgin Terminal and compare the result with the SHA-256 above.
Your data stays where it was: updating from an earlier build keeps your pages and settings.
