Announcement: RocketMQ Rust 🔖v1.0.0 has been released

New Feature and improve performance

  • ✨ Core services include NameServer, Controller, Broker, and Proxy, together with the Rust client and administration tools.
  • ✨ Runtime ownership, typed errors, transport, storage, security, and observability now have dedicated core crates and explicit lifecycle boundaries.
  • ✨ Dashboard Web, MCP, and SRE are available as separately packaged service components. Their standalone APIs are outside the core 1.0 compatibility surface.
  • 🚀 A dedicated GitHub Actions workflow publishes the 27 core crates and 13 individual Docker Hub images for linux/amd64, with SBOMs, vulnerability scans, signatures, and resumable publication.
  • 🔒 Dashboard Web backend and the five SRE backends use the patched Debian 13 runtime that resolved the CRITICAL Perl/zlib image findings.
  • ⚙️ The SRE UI accepts its public OIDC issuer and client ID at container startup, so the same image can serve multiple deployments.
  • 🐛 Fix bugs and strengthen regression coverage across the client, Broker, Controller, storage, protocol, and service lifecycle.

Upgrade notes

The transition from 0.9 to 1.0 includes deliberate Rust source API changes. Review the 1.0 API migration guide and runtime migration notes before upgrading an application. The request-header derive is now RequestHeaderCodec; client runtime startup is fallible; runtime ownership and scheduling APIs use the explicit owner model. Store and observability APIs also include source changes documented in the repository changelog.

For Broker data, follow the upgrade and rollback guide, retain backups, and run the downgrade preflight before returning to an older Rust Broker. Controller HA is Rust-native; the guide defines the supported interoperability and persisted-format boundaries.

Packages and containers

The release source is tagged v1.0.0. Crates.io and Docker Hub publication run through Release crates and Docker Hub images; the existing signed service image workflow publishes to GHCR. Registry publication completes asynchronously; check the corresponding workflow result before using a package or image.

Docker Hub repositories use the mxsm/rocketmq-rust-<component>:1.0.0 naming scheme. See the release and container configuration guide for all 13 repositories, image tags, and deployment settings. SRE UI deployments must supply VITE_SRE_OIDC_AUTHORITY and VITE_SRE_OIDC_CLIENT_ID when starting the container.
