Introduction

Hypha is the AI agent of the Mycelium ecosystem, a connecting filament between engineers and the OMG SysML v2 / KerML specifications. It ships as a Claude Code plugin – skills and subagents that give grounded answers about the KerML and SysML v2 metamodel, the standard model library, the normative specification text and SysML v2 textual-notation validation.

This repository is two things in one:

1. The hypha Claude plugin – .claude-plugin/, skills/, agents/, commands/, hooks/: the conversational surface a user installs. It reads a knowledge base that is fetched and generated on the user's own machine, on request; nothing per-release ships in the plugin itself.
2. The generation pipelines (tools/) that build that knowledge base from the upstream OMG sources. These are not part of the installed plugin, see Developers Experience if you want to work on them.

Using Hypha

• Getting Started – installing the plugin, fetching your first release, example prompts.
• Skills and Agents – what each skill and subagent does, and the provenance model behind every answer.
• The Knowledge Base – the on-disk shape of everything Hypha reads from: metamodel, spec text, textual notation, cross-references.
• Hypha CLI – the hypha command line tool that fetches sources and generates the knowledge base, driven conversationally by the version-management` skill or run by hand.

Building Hypha

• Generation Pipelines – the three pipelines under tools/ that turn upstream OMG sources into the generated knowledge base (metamodel-gen, knowledge-gen,spec-extract).
• Developers Experience – development environment, build & test commands, contribution workflow.
• Build and Release – continuous integration and the release pipeline for the hypha CLI and hook binaries.
• Sources and Licensing – the upstream OMG repositories this project tracks, and how their licenses shape what is committed versus generated locally.

The knowledge base comes from two upstream OMG repositories, one release tag at a time:

• Systems-Modeling/SysML-v2-Pilot-Implementation – the metamodel XMI.
• Systems-Modeling/SysML-v2-Release – the specification PDFs, the textual-notation grammar, and the example models.
