NeonPocketMC suite v1.2.0 RC1

This catalog release adds two board-correct BLE/OLED companion lanes without duplicating product-owned firmware binaries:

catalog.json records 28 installable files with their exact product release, source commit, size, and SHA-256 digest. V3 and V4 live OLED frames and animated boot captures are committed in the unified README.

Choose by exact hardware and role. There is no universal image, and V3/V4 firmware is not interchangeable.

NeonPocketMC suite v1.1.0 RC2

This catalog release indexes every current NeonPocketMC RX-gain hotfix build without duplicating product-owned firmware binaries.

All four product lines use MeshCore 1.17.0 plus the exact boosted-RX-gain reset fix from upstream MeshCore PR #3158. Upstream has not published a 1.17.1 tag, so this suite does not claim that version or include unrelated dev changes.

catalog.json records 24 installable files with their exact product release, source commit, size, and SHA-256 digest. Choose by exact hardware and role; there is no universal image.

The RCC6 BLE companion and experimental full-TFT Room Server were app-only flashed and verified on the RCC6 qualification unit. The indexed Room Server framebuffer allocated successfully and retained a 58 KB largest free block after its 32 KB post-service memory gate. RC52 1.1 images are exact-main CI candidates and remain pending a fresh hardware smoke.

NeonPocketMC Suite 1.0 RC1

The first unified NeonPocketMC release gathers every current RadioCore build in one place while preserving the four hardware-specific source histories.

Included products

Hardware Firmware Included release
RC52-L62 + NV3001B BLE companion with NeonPocket UI NeonPocketMC-RC52 v1.0.0-rc.1
RC52-L62 Headless low-power repeater NeonPocketMC-RC52-Repeater v1.0.0-rc.1
RCC6 + NV3001B BLE and Wi-Fi Web/AP companions NeonPocketMC-RCC6 v1.1.0-rc.1 (MeshCore 1.17 storage-startup fix)
RCC6 MQTT observer/repeater with WebUI NeonPocketMC-RCC6-Repeater v1.0.0-rc.2

The RCC6 MQTT observer/repeater includes its Windows/Linux configurator, supports all exposed radio settings before deployment, and defaults to 3-byte packet hash mode. Its preferred MQTT choices are mqtt1.meshcore.ca and mqtt2.meshcore.ca, with the other upstream-compatible brokers available or manually configurable.

Downloads

  • NeonPocketMC-v1.0.0-rc.1-all-builds.zip contains all 11 firmware/configurator assets plus the suite README, flashing guide, catalog, license, and an internal checksum manifest.
  • The same 11 assets are attached individually for users who need only one build.
  • catalog.json records product repository, release, source commit, filename, size, SHA-256, and download URL.
  • SHA256SUMS.txt verifies every attached build, the combined ZIP, and the catalog.

Source and verification

  • Suite commit: 49415475e9f9c28deae6431b7db6e2e75ea77f07
  • Catalog workflow: GitHub Actions run 31332296983 passed.
  • All 11 component assets were downloaded from their public product releases and matched their published size and SHA-256 before packaging.
  • The combined ZIP was expanded and every internal firmware file was independently rehashed.
  • Each Git submodule is pinned to the exact commit behind its listed product release.

Safety

There is no universal image. Match the exact hardware and role. Never cross-flash RC52 and RCC6. Attach a suitable LoRa antenna before transmitting.

Use UF2 for normal RC52 installation. For RCC6, use an app image at 0x10000; use a merged recovery image at 0x0 only for bootloader/partition recovery, and do not erase the whole flash. Outdoor solar deployments require an external MPPT/regulator/charger suitable for the panel and protected 1-cell battery.

These are community prereleases, not official Heltec or MeshCore firmware.
