Mike v1.1.1
Mike now has a real Setup.exe installer, and knows who built him.
Mike 1.1.0
Mike now keeps himself up to date, works with your documents and PDFs, and builds projects with you in VS Code.
New
- Updates, from inside Mike. Mike checks for new versions and offers them in the chat. Press Update now and he restarts on the new version; your chats, memory and settings stay. Turn the check off in Settings → General.
- Documents and PDFs. Read long PDFs page by page (scanned ones too), search them, merge, split, rotate, compress and fill forms, turn photos into a PDF, and write essays (MLA, APA), reports, resumes, letters and slide decks as Word, PDF or PowerPoint files.
- Attach files and ask. Drop in PDFs or photos and say "merge these" or "make these into one PDF".
- VS Code. Mike builds and fixes projects with you: edits land in the editor, he runs them in the terminal and reads the problems VS Code finds.
- Fast mode. Connect your own free Cloudflare account for answers in seconds, with a ring that shows how much of today's allowance is left.
- Mike accounts (optional): your name and photo across computers. Conversations never leave your PC.
- A new look. Black and grey with a copper nib, a listening animation, and a voice that says what Mike wrote.
Better
- Mike's window steps aside while he works in your other apps, and the nib shows where he's working.
- Installing a new version while Mike is running now closes him first, instead of failing halfway.
- Many reliability fixes from a full sweep of the code.
Install
Download Mike-windows-1.1.0.zip, unzip it, and open Mike. Mike needs Ollama to think on your computer. Mike isn't code-signed yet, so Windows may warn the first time: choose More info, then Run anyway.
Already have Mike 1.0.0? Download this version and open it; it replaces the old one and keeps your data. From 1.1.0 on, Mike updates himself.
Mike v1.0.0 — macOS
First early-access build of Mike for macOS.
Mike is not code-signed or notarized yet, so macOS Gatekeeper will flag it on first launch:
- Unzip Mike-macOS-1.0.0.zip
- Move Mike.app to /Applications
- Right-click Mike.app → Open (not double-click) → Open again in the dialog
After the first launch this isn't needed again.
