v3.2.1
NeedleTailLogger 3.2.1
Release date: 2026-08-06
SemVer: patch / minor-compatible formatting release (3.1.5 → 3.2.1)
API: No public API breakage. Call sites remain source-compatible.
Summary
Cleaner log line formatting and more predictable level behavior.
What’s new
- Debug formatting — Removed the dashed banner around debug lines. Debug uses the same single-line shape as other levels (
🐛 message). - Debug in release —
.debugis no longer compiled out of non-DEBUGbuilds. Output respects the logger’s configuredlogLevel(e.g. servers withLOG_LEVEL=debugsee debug lines in release). - Error text — Errors are no longer forced to uppercase on Apple or Android, so identifiers and error strings stay readable.
Upgrade notes
- Clients that leave the default log level at
.debugin App Store / release builds may see more debug output than in 3.1.x. Set.info(or higher) in release for quieter logs. - Do not depend on uppercased error strings or the old debug banner in log parsers.
Compatibility
Public surface unchanged: log(level:message:metadata:), Level, Message, and related types.
