Summary

Cleaner log line formatting and more predictable level behavior.

What’s new

  • Debug formatting — Removed the dashed banner around debug lines. Debug uses the same single-line shape as other levels (🐛 message).
  • Debug in release — .debug is no longer compiled out of non-DEBUG builds. Output respects the logger’s configured logLevel (e.g. servers with LOG_LEVEL=debug see debug lines in release).
  • Error text — Errors are no longer forced to uppercase on Apple or Android, so identifiers and error strings stay readable.

Upgrade notes

  • Clients that leave the default log level at .debug in App Store / release builds may see more debug output than in 3.1.x. Set .info (or higher) in release for quieter logs.
  • Do not depend on uppercased error strings or the old debug banner in log parsers.

Compatibility

Public surface unchanged: log(level:message:metadata:), Level, Message, and related types.
