XHTTP Transmission Guide & Insights #440

Description

@underdog-03

Dear @RPRX, @mmmray, and @ll11l1lIllIl1lll,

Thank you for your hard work and for generously sharing your expertise with the community.

Following the recent Xray-core update and the discussions in XTLS/Xray-core#4113, I’ve been trying to fully understand the changes introduced with the XHTTP Transmission feature and its various Mode options (auto, packet-up, stream-up, stream-one), particularly in relation to Reality and TLS.

Despite our efforts, these updates and the range of discussions surrounding them have caused considerable confusion within the Russian, Chinese, and Iranian communities. Many users are struggling to understand how these features interact and what their combinations achieve in practical scenarios.

Given your expertise, it would be helpful if you could provide a clear and simplified explanation of the following, The Functionality of XHTTP Transmission and the Role of the Mode Options and how do the different Mode options (auto, packet-up, stream-up, stream-one) affect the behavior of Reality and TLS?

Currently, various hypotheses and interpretations are circulating within these communities, but many remain unconfirmed or unclear. For instance, conflicting examples and assumptions about the interactions between these features have added to the confusion.

Thank you so much for your time and for considering this request.
