Highlights
NGB Platform 3.2.0 introduces an official application starter, tooling for upgrading existing applications, and certification of the 3.1.0 → 3.2.0 upgrade path.
Official application template
Create an independent application using published NuGet and npm packages, without cloning the NGB repository.
The starter includes:
- API, Migrator, Background Jobs, and Vue frontend.
- Keycloak authentication and PostgreSQL.
- Working user and role administration, permission management, audit history, Work Center, health endpoints, and background processing.
The initial structure stays small. Add application-specific Definitions, Runtime, and PostgreSql projects when needed, following the documented dependency rules.
Application lifecycle tooling
- Create applications from published packages or a prepared local package set.
- Preview supported upgrades without modifying application files.
- Validate backend and frontend builds in an isolated copy before applying dependency updates.
- Preserve application source, runtime configuration, and secrets.
- Deploy the generated Compose stack with migration sequencing: stop writers, run Migrator, then start the updated hosts.
Upgrade certification
Five external-consumer profiles cover:
- Clean starter creation and startup.
- Application extensions with custom runtime behavior and PostgreSQL migrations.
- Core upgrades with persistent data and access settings.
- Notes upgrades.
- Attachments upgrades, including stored-object integrity.
Checks use packaged artifacts outside the platform repository. Publication verification checks the corresponding packages from NuGet and npm.
The supported transition for this release is 3.1.0 → 3.2.0. Automated upgrades require the documented application layout. Major upgrades require explicit migration guides; arbitrary historical version jumps are not covered.
Frontend tooling
- Added the public
@ngbplatform/ui/tailwind-presetentry point. - Expanded checks for public npm entry points, type declarations, assets, and external production builds.
- Retained the existing Tailwind 3 architecture.
Release pipeline
- Unified publication around certified artifacts and release approval.
- Added registry verification before container builds, including CRM.
- Improved handling of package propagation delays, repeated publication attempts, and optional container cache export.
Fixes
- Improved indirect Cash Flow balance aggregation when PostgreSQL account-classification statistics are stale.
Get started
Requires .NET 10 SDK, Node.js 24.19.x, and Docker with Compose v2 and Linux containers.
dotnet new install NGB.Platform.Templates@3.2.0
dotnet new ngb -n MyApplication
cd MyApplication
node infrastructure/configure.mjs administrator@example.com
node infrastructure/ngb.mjs startOpen http://localhost:5182 and sign in with the configured email and BOOTSTRAP_PASSWORD from the generated .env.
The included Compose configuration is intended for local development.
Upgrading
Follow the application and upgrade guide for upgrade commands, supported layouts, backup requirements, and deployment steps.
Installing a newer template does not update an existing application. Run your application's own tests before deployment.
