v1.3.0
Ballistics Update
Until now, players were only able to pick up magazines from the ground. However, we have received many requests to rework and expand the weapon-related evidence types (#6, #17, #27, #34 etc). With this update we introduce Bullet, Bullet Casing, Magazine and Gunpowder Residue evidence types, a Firarms Registry App and a Ballistics Analysis App!
🆕 Ballistic Evidence Types
Refer to our wiki to learn more about Bullets, Bullet Casings, Magazines and Gunpowder Residues.
📁 Firearms Registry App
The Firearms Registry app provides you with an overview of all registered firearms. Police officers can register firearms of citizens by creating a new entry in the registry. Learn more at the wiki.
🔫 Ballistics Analysis App
The Ballistics Analysis App can be used to analyse all new weapon-related evidence types. Depending on the piece of evidence you have selected, you will either see entries from the firarms registry or the type of weapon the evidence originated from. In some cases, you can also select a weapon from your inventory, and you will receive feedback indicating whether the selected piece of evidence matches that weapon (as you can see in the example image).
Further Changes
- Added a
steel_fileitem that, when used, removes the serial number from the currently equipped weapon (https://forum.cfx.re/t/free-evidence-script/5357633/53) - Fixed translations for citizen notes
- Added a startup sound effect
- Updated the placement of the app icons on the desktop screen
- Evidence can now be created at coords relative to entities
Important
If you are currently using an older version and want to upgrade to v1.3.0, please make sure to properly set up the items by re-applying steps 2 and 4 of the installation guide in the README. Please also take note of the changes in config.lua.
