First public release.
Asset Bridge converts Unreal Engine 5 and Unity assets into Godot-ready folders.
Which download?
AssetBridge-0.1.0-setup.exe |
Standard Windows installer, Start-menu entry and uninstaller. Pick this if unsure. |
AssetBridge-0.1.0-portable.zip |
Unzip and run. Writes nothing outside its own folder. |
In this release
- Batch mesh export from Unreal, driven headlessly (Unreal has no batch glTF export of its own)
- Unity project reading straight off disk — no Unity install required
- Material translation, including Unity's smoothness→roughness inversion and per-pipeline channel packing
- Occlusion/roughness/metallic consolidated into one texture
- Lossless texture slimming (~19%), with optional opt-in downscaling
- Skeletal meshes, plus Unreal animation clips as Godot
AnimationLibraryresources - Nanite detail recovery — Nanite meshes otherwise export at Unreal's decimated fallback, sometimes 13% of the authored triangles
- Built-in 3D preview with an A/B toggle between raw and converted
Requirements
Windows 64-bit. Unreal Engine 5.1+ only if converting Unreal assets — earlier versions don't ship the exporter this relies on. Unity, Godot and Python are not required.
Not in this release
Unity animation clips (Unity skeletal meshes do convert). Blueprints, Unity C# scripts, custom shader graphs, Niagara and Lumen have no Godot equivalent and will not convert.
Only convert assets you are licensed to use outside their original engine.
