New Features

  • A new player stream backend (more on that below)
  • Auto-download update function with configurable options and flavours (under Settings > Update)
  • Auto-backup feature, with configurable backup intervals

Improvements

  • Added options to display video-only artists in the same layout as normal YTM artists
  • Improved equaliser pipeline to prevent audio artefacts
  • Slightly changed the configurator screen
  • Changed language to English for APK releases, but you can still compile the APK in a different language yourself (instructions in wiki)
  • Improved artist linking
  • Little one, but I now decided to drop the "Core-" prefix for the tag
  • Cleaned up settings page

Bug Fixes

  • Changed audio streaming backend to (uses InnerTubeX and other Metrolist features, full list below
  • Fixed a TON of playback errors and made the InnerTubeX module the primary stream client (properly, this time)
  • Fixed a bug where an older version of the artist would show up as a duplicate and override the newer one
  • Changed the streaming dependencies, such as Faraday for the cipher configurations
