What's changed

  • The idle clock time now turns red whenever the local alert inbox contains unread notifications.
  • The time returns to white automatically after every alert has been read.
  • The unread cue is supported by both the primary LVGL interface and the safe fallback renderer.
  • Touch firmware, browser-installer metadata, and model documentation now report version 0.9.2.

Updating

Use the Notificator mobile app to check for the latest Touch preview update. The signed OTA release is model-locked to Notificator Touch 3.49. A complete factory image will also be attached for browser or USB installation after the release workflow finishes.

What changed

  • Adds a retained MQTT Last Will so unexpected power or network loss can be reported as offline.
  • Publishes a retained presence heartbeat every 60 seconds with a 20-second MQTT keepalive.
  • Keeps the last successful heartbeat timestamp accurate when a publish fails.
  • Updates the web installer and release metadata for Base 1.2.2.

Notificator Base 1.2.1 prepares the base device for the expanded Notificator device family.

What changed:

  • Added persistent OLED brightness control for local and mobile-app settings.
  • Fixed secured Wi-Fi selection so the setup portal keeps the password field editable.
  • Updated the web installer catalog and firmware metadata.
  • Added model-aware release automation and independent Base firmware versioning.

After installation, reconnect the device to Wi-Fi and verify its MQTT status reports firmware 1.2.1.

The first public preview release for Notificator Touch on the Waveshare ESP32-S3 Touch LCD 3.49.

What is included:

  • A new LVGL interface with clock, weather, notification history, and severity-aware alerts.
  • On-device Wi-Fi setup with touchscreen keyboard and a guided phone setup screen.
  • Local and MQTT-controlled display brightness and sound volume.
  • Touch controls, orientation support, device identity, status indicators, and charging information.
  • Signed preview OTA metadata and web-installer support.

This is preview firmware. Use the web installer for the first installation, then test future updates through OTA.

What changed

  • Repairs OTA lifecycle reporting so an update remains in progress during restart and completes only after the new firmware boots.
  • Reports firmware state using the authenticated device telemetry contract.
  • Updates the reported firmware version to 1.2.0.
  • Preserves the existing HiveMQ and Wi-Fi configuration during OTA upgrades.

Upgrade

Use the Notificator mobile app to send the stable OTA update. USB installation remains available as a recovery and first-install option.

What changed

  • Corrects duplicated and misaligned Wi-Fi and lock icons in the setup portal.
  • Publishes versioned OTA and factory binaries alongside each firmware release.
  • Establishes the automated signed-manifest release path for future OTA updates.

One-time migration note

Test devices running the earlier 1.1.0 build with the retired signing key require one USB flash before they can receive this and future signed OTA releases.
