0.4.2 — Windows About detects Grok Bot
GrokBot Meter is an unofficial tray companion for Grok Bot. Weekly usage %, today, and reset timing. Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a product of xAI, Cursor, Apple, or Microsoft. Uses official Grok Bot meters only.
This patch rebuilds the Mac and Windows installers so Windows About no longer shows Grok Bot — not installed when %APPDATA%\Grok Bot is present (#24). When a version string can be read, About shows that version. When the support directory is there but no version turns up, About shows Grok Bot (installed). v0.4.1 is unchanged.
macOS (Apple Silicon)
Ad-hoc signed, not notarized. Open the DMG and drag GrokBot Meter to Applications. Requires macOS 13 (Ventura) or later. macOS asks you to approve the app once. See First launch.

Windows (x64, unsigned, loaner / test)
Notification-area tray shows the weekly %.
Weekly and Today read %APPDATA%\Grok Bot: sand-secrets.json, sand-client-persistence, and Local State. Tokens are decrypted with that app's DPAPI key. Grok Bot must be signed in on the same Windows user.
Open at login works on Windows. Settings has the toggle. Turning it on writes HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run for this Windows user. No administrator password.
Built with npm run dist:win (NSIS installer and portable zip).
