Gloop 0.7.0 adds a short first-run desktop setup flow and faster ways to manage bookmarks.

  • Answer up to three in-app questions to install the launcher and choose folder and file-dialog defaults. Reopen setup from Preferences.
  • Drag folders into or between sidebar bookmarks, and right-click a bookmark to remove it without deleting the folder.
  • Preferences stays centered, uses 30% of the window width with a 360 px minimum, and fits its content up to 80% of the window height.
  • Disabled context-menu items are easier to distinguish. Space-key activation is fixed for dialog and chooser buttons.
  • Simpler README, source-build guide, and numbered performance notes.

Download and extract gloop-linux-x64.tar.gz, then run ./gloop. The archive contains one NativeAOT executable. No .NET runtime is required.

Supported target: Linux x86-64, glibc 2.39 or newer, native Wayland, and Vulkan 1.3 drivers. Tested on KDE Plasma. File-dialog integration applies to portal-capable dialogs, including custom per-app opt-ins where required. Ark's embedded extraction browser remains Ark-owned.
