o7 Debrief

  • A few quality-of-life touches: a session log that leads with your most recent moments, clearer per-line icons and an optional check for new versions.

What's new

  • Session log, newest first. The log now lists your most recent moments at the top, so the latest thing you did is the first thing you read. The per-activity tabs are ordered the same way.
  • Clearer session-log icons. Each line shows the activity it records, a trade, a bounty, a scan and so on, rather than the control mode you happened to be in; a market run shows that you were trading, not that you were sat in a ship. The control mode rides along as a small tag.
  • Check for updates. A new entry in the tray menu asks GitHub whether a newer release is out and points you straight to the download page when there is one. It only ever runs when you click it and it never downloads or installs anything for you; a failed check stays quiet.

Still true

  • Local-first as ever: every figure traces back to a real journal entry and your journal never leaves your machine. No cloud, no account, no telemetry. The update check is the one exception, running only when you ask for it.
  • Your whole session is covered, from launch through to when you quit the game; the debrief can also fire automatically the moment the game closes.
