Release notes
A content release adding support for the Elite Dangerous Operations update: completed missions, and Operations in particular, now name themselves in the debrief and account for the Merc Coins they pay.
What's new
- Completed missions name themselves and their faction. A mission-completion row now reads as what it was, for example "Completed Infiltrate the compound for Fong Wang Limited", using the mission's readable title where the journal provides one and falling back to a plain "Completed a mission" when it does not. Previously a completed mission showed only a generic label.
- Operations account for Merc Coins. Operations pay the new Merc Coins currency, and the debrief now surfaces it. Each Operation names the coins it paid on its own session-log row, for example "Completed Infiltrate the compound for Fong Wang Limited (+500 Merc Coins)", and the Missions section carries a running Merc Coins total for the session beside the usual credit reward total.
- Merc Coins are kept separate from credits. Because Merc Coins are a distinct currency, they are totalled on their own and never added into the session's net-credits figure. Your credit balance reads true; the coins are reported alongside it, not mixed into it.
Why this matters
The Operations update introduced a new kind of mission and a new currency to go with it. A debrief is a record of a session, so a completed Operation should read as the thing you actually did and the coins it paid should be counted, without quietly distorting the credit figures that were already there. Naming the mission and tracking the currency separately keeps the record both fuller and honest.
Still true
- Local-first as ever: every figure traces back to a real journal entry and your journal never leaves your machine. No cloud, no account, no telemetry. The update check is the one exception, running only when you ask for it.
- Your whole session is covered, from launch through to when you quit the game; the debrief can also fire automatically the moment the game closes.
