Peter,
I was an early user of OK Log a few years back and always liked the coordination free philosophy you baked into it. I’m currently working on a project with a distributed fleet where the ELK/Loki overhead is simply too high, and I found myself wishing I had the distributed grep simplicity of OK Log again.
I’ve been looking into the code and see a path to finishing the rebalance/repair tools and modernizing the discovery layer think zero config peer discovery.
Since the repo is archived, would you be open to transferring the project to a new Organization where I could lead maintenance, or would you prefer I simply fork it and carry the torch under a new name? My goal is to build the layer that OK Log was missing.
Best,
jm
