Tekken 3 Expanded v1.1.0

Tekken 3 Expanded puts the 18 characters Tekken Tag Tournament added to the roster into Tekken 3, playable in every mode and fought by the CPU. It runs on Tekken3Recompiled.

No game files are included. You provide your own Tekken 3 disc image and your own Tekken Tag Tournament and Tekken 3 arcade ROMs; the setup builds everything from them on your machine. See What you need for the exact versions.

New in 1.1.0

• The first setup is about 4 times faster: about 17 minutes from nothing on an 8-core Windows 11 PC (downloads, TTT1 import and build included), instead of about an hour. The imported characters are the same, checked file by file.
• Windows works: fixes for the build, the TTT1 import and the arcade difficulty levels on Windows 10 / 11.
• The move lists no longer need the network: the Tekken wiki pages they come from are now in the repository (CC BY-SA 3.0). Before, a failed download could leave characters without a COMMAND LIST.
• The setup checks tekken3.zip up front and goes on without the arcade difficulty levels if it is not the TET2/VER.E1 set.

Highlights

• 18 playable TTT characters, on a Tag page of the select screen (L2 / R2), with all their costumes, voices, sounds, portraits and strong-hit effects.
• TTT movesets for 14 of Tekken 3's cast, chosen on a MOVESET card; move lists and Combo Training follow, 88 TTT combos in all.
• Unknown with 23 styles (L1), Tetsujin drawing a moveset every round, Devil and Angel lasers that hit.
• CPU opponents in every mode, a Tekken Force boss route for every guest, the arcade difficulty levels, 16:9 fixes, everything unlocked.

Install

Download Source code (zip) below, extract all of it (7-Zip on Windows), then run Setup Tekken 3.command (macOS) or Setup Tekken 3.cmd (Windows). Step-by-step instructions are in the README.
