Setup confidence, source-aware alerts, and a rebuilt project page

New

  • Run a complete Codex or Claude setup test from the popover header. It uses the selected completion sound, matching app-color glow, optional banner, and a Recent entry.
  • Click a Chime notification or its foreground action to return to the source app that finished.
  • Refreshed the public README with current product captures, direct install guidance, support boundaries, troubleshooting, and updater readiness.

Reliability

  • The glow intensity setting controls the visible edge width, halo, and border brightness across its full range.
  • Releases are Developer ID signed, Apple notarized, stapled, Gatekeeper-verified, and accompanied by a SHA-256 checksum.

Install

Download Chime-4-Breakfast.dmg, move Chime to Applications, grant the one-time Accessibility permission, then use the header test before relying on alerts.

Privacy

Chime has no account, analytics, telemetry, or network service. It reads visible supported-app UI locally through macOS Accessibility only.
