The Reveal in Finder action for a local Codex task opens the macOS Home directory instead of the task's assigned working directory.
- Actual Finder location:
/Users/<username>
- Task working directory:
/Users/<username>/Documents/Codex/2026-08-02/h
- Copy working directory returns the correct task path.
- No error message is shown.
The problem still occurs after downloading the current official installer, verifying its checksum and code signature, replacing the app, and restarting it.

What is the expected behavior?
Finder should open the task's assigned working directory (/Users/<username>/Documents/Codex/2026-08-02/h) when Reveal in Finder is selected.
Additional information
This is reproducible after a clean app-binary reinstall using the official OpenAI DMG. The downloaded disk image passed hdiutil verify, and the installed app passed codesign --verify --deep --strict.
The task and chat remain functional; only Reveal in Finder resolves to the wrong location.
