What’s new

  • Enter the Proton password only once throughout guided setup, same-account reauthorization, and intentional account switching in both the Control Center and interactive terminal helpers.
  • Preserve the existing anonymous credential pipe, encrypted configuration, 2FA validation, guarded account-switch preflight, cache isolation, and rollback behavior.
  • Refresh the complete English/German UI text, Operations documentation, regression coverage, and the README account-switch screenshot.

Upgrade

Existing installations can upgrade with:

git pull --ff-only
./install.sh

The installer preserves credentials, configuration, cache, state, and user data. This release changes only local credential entry and its documentation; it does not modify Proton cloud data or weaken the account-switch safety gates.
