release. Only release title and notes can be modified.
Highlights
- Adds a dedicated Community and support section linking the public PDrive showcase, the Proton backend coordination thread and GitHub Issues.
- Clarifies that PDrive-specific support, bug reports and feature requests belong in GitHub Issues, while the rclone forum remains the place for broader community discussion and upstream coordination.
- Ships the updated offline documentation in the new Arch Linux 0.8.2-1 release candidate.
This documentation release does not change runtime behavior. The reviewed Proton bridge worker fix remains included in the checksum-pinned PDrive rclone build already shipped by v0.8.1.
Upgrade
Existing source installations can update with git pull --ff-only followed by ./install.sh. The installer preserves credentials, configuration, state and every VFS cache namespace.
Arch reviewers can verify the attached package with its SHA-256 file and install it with sudo pacman -U ./proton-drive-linux-0.8.2-1-any.pkg.tar.zst. Arch remains a release-candidate target pending configured account, transfer and login-lifecycle review.
Verification
- Repository checks, Super-Linter, CodeQL and the Arch compatibility workflow passed on the pull request and exact squash-merged release commit.
- The final Arch package was built by GitHub Actions from the release commit, downloaded again, inspected and installed in a disposable Arch container.
- Package metadata reports 0.8.2-1; all 105 installed files passed
pacman -Qkk, and the version sources plus updated offline documentation matched the reviewed commit byte for byte. - No real Proton account or transfer was used because runtime behavior is unchanged.
