- HSDAOH - High Speed Data Acquisition over HDMI
This is a hacky yet reliable high-bandwidth method of packing digital data over HDMI to affordable MS2130 and MS2131 based "U3" capture cards, as these can allow access to the whole signal frame and do locked modes all in YUV2 lossless.
Much like the PCM data tapes of old, but with bigger numbers this allows any system with a USB 3.0 port to use high bandwidth ADC platforms outputting an HSDAOH compatible stream to take the data and save it, unpack it and real-time FLAC compress it.
Capture from the standard hsdaoh branch or the misrc version is fairly simple it's all supported under MISRC GUI making it simple and uniform across all hardware options for both GUI and CLI use.
Today the main production implementation is the MISRC platform, originally based around the FX3 like the DdD, thanks to cheep FPGAs such as the Tang Nano 20k it became the successor to the legacy DdD with the release of the V1.5a version.
MISRC V2.5 improved it to include 4ch of audio inputs an refined FM RF Archival platform.
An more DIY but total BOM affordable option is this board, however with the downsides of using off-shelf ADCs these may go away from the market or become more costly in the future, and also have a major flaw of limited control.
