Exocolonist v1.0

Choose a tag to compare

@pamymaf pamymaf released this 21 Nov 13:02

Woo! Version 1.0!

Locations

  • Unlocking each job is a location
  • Picking up each consumable once is a location
  • If enabled (friendsanity), every 10 friendship points is a location
  • If enabled (datesanity), every character you date is a location
  • If enabled (perkanity), every skill perk is a location
  • Special events such as "Save Tammy" are locations

Items

  • Progressive Years allow you to play another year. If you do not have enough Progressive Years, the game will end after glow of the highest year you have unlocked (you can always reload the autosave after you see the ending screen)
  • Each job is an item you need to receive to do that activity
  • If enabled (perksanity), each skill perk is an item. You will not be able to raise a skill past a perk you have received. So if you haven't received a Progressive Empathy Perk, you will not be able to level up your Empathy past 33
  • Consumables are used as filler items

Other features

  • Building rando causes building entrances to be randomized with each other. There is an option in the game settings to make the flag in front of the building match what is inside
  • Character rando causes character's locations to be randomized with each other
  • Universal Tracker works without a yaml

Todo

  • Groundhogs are not cleared automatically or saved per slot

Exopelago v0.3.0

Choose a tag to compare

@pamymaf pamymaf released this 07 Oct 05:30

Now with fewer bugs and more confusion!

Added the ability to force card battles to always be on as a yaml setting.

Added building rando.

  • Unfortunately exiting the building that leads to expeditions will always bring you back to the expeditions hut.
  • This also involved deleting the glow gate to prevent softlocks where you get stuck at the expeditions hut outside during glow with no way to rest.
  • The glow gate is now interactable during months 1 and 2.

Added character shuffle, now characters on the main map change places with each other.

  • All Stratos characters are available from the start

Groundhogs are now properly separated between AP worlds, even if you have multiple slots in the same world.

Fixed a lot of logic issues.

What's randomized?

Locations

Every job you can unlock is a location.

Friendsanity

If enabled, each multiple of 20 friendship points for each character is a check.

Datesanity

If enabled, dating each character is a check.

Perksanity

If enabled, each skill perk is a check. Additionally, skills will be locked so you cannot progress past a perk you don't have. As an example, if you have perception perk 1 you can level your perception to 66. But if you have no perks, you can only level the skill to 33.

Special events

Right now the special events are

  • Save Tammy
  • Save Tonin
  • Rescue Eudicot
  • Save Mom
  • Save Dad
  • Save Hal
  • Adopt Vriki
  • Adopt Hopeye
  • Adopt Robot
  • Adopt Unisaur
  • Become Governor
  • Help Marz become Governor

Items

You can receive job unlocks and consumables to use in card battles or as gifts for characters. If perksanity is enabled, you will also receive progressive skill perks.

Progressive Years

In order to age up you will need to receive a progressive year. For example, if you only have 3 progressive years the game will end (but not goal) when you age up to 14.
