See #23502 for hyperfine runs. We don't have a benchmark suite to give a fancy geo mean or anything, but I think this is a defensible claim that doesn't set unreasonable expectations.

Looks good!

I also expect peak memory to have been reduced significantly in this release on account of #23486 and #23481. It's ~3x less memory used, which also explains some of the speed gains.

I tried to automatically cherry-pick this change back to each relevant milestone, so that it is available in those older releases of Pants.
