Parley v0.32.0
Parley now teaches itself, and Windows hears the other side of the call.
First run is a guided lap, not a settings form. The wizard is down to four steps and cannot end without working transcription: sign in for the hosted models (free within a monthly allowance) or bring a transcription key; the mock transcript that used to play when nothing was configured is gone from release builds. The first page shows the app assembling itself — recording pill, a typed transcript with speaker names, a folder receiving the meeting, the MCP plug lighting up — one caption per beat.
- A sample call to walk through. A two-minute first sales call (zh-TW and en) loads as a real recording, already transcribed, already analysed, with a title and a folder proposed. A guide bar at the bottom of the report walks three steps — accept the suggestion, click a line in Replay, hand the recording to your AI — ticking each one from the thing you actually did, then closes with "Start your first real meeting".
- Hand off to your AI. The report ends with a section that connects Claude Code over MCP (command, Claude Desktop config, live connection status, three questions to ask) and, for everyone else, copies the transcript with an analysis prompt or the report as markdown. The transcript copy menu gains "With analysis prompt" as its first item.
- The filing card does more. "Accept suggestion" renames and files in one click, the title is editable in place, and "Choose another folder…" opens the picker. Home keeps a small getting-started index until the lap is done; existing users never see it.
- Small fixes found along the way: the report no longer claims it needs a model key above a brief that already exists, the stale "drag cards into this folder" hint is gone, ingest errors are translated, and the MCP settings text describes what MCP can actually do.
Windows
- The other side of the call is recorded through WASAPI loopback, so Windows meetings get both speakers like macOS.
- Hold right Ctrl or right Alt to dictate, via a low-level keyboard hook.
- Corrections are learned through UI Automation, so the personal dictionary improves from what you fix in other apps.
- Closing the window hides Parley to the notification area, and Settings gains a Caches block.
Also: titlebar pill, meeting-kind trigger and sidebar counts realigned after the re-skin.
