Pathrule Core v0.6.1

Choose a tag to compare

@sertanhelvaci sertanhelvaci released this 04 Oct 00:05

This snapshot matches what @pathrule/cli 0.6.1 bundles.

Highlights

  • Per-path write queue. serializeByPath runs a read, transform and write of one file as a single queued step within a process, so concurrent read-modify-write passes on the same file no longer drop each other's changes.
  • File mode on atomic writes. atomicWrite accepts a mode, applied before the file is moved into place, so a file can be created with restricted permissions from the start.
  • Repair shares the write path. pathrule repair in the CLI now writes through atomicWrite and the per-path queue.

Pathrule Core v0.6.0

Choose a tag to compare

@sertanhelvaci sertanhelvaci released this 02 Oct 19:55

This snapshot matches what @pathrule/cli 0.6.0 bundles. The mirror last moved at 0.3.1, so it also carries the core that 0.4.0 and 0.5.0 shipped.

Highlights

  • Knowledge map input. LocalBackend serves memories, rules, skills and their links in one read, with a cheap fingerprint that changes only when the map would.
  • Project learning. Agents can store an advisory finding together with the hashes of the files it rests on. A finding is withheld as soon as one of those files changes, and its author can retract it.
  • Compiled delivery. An approved compiled form stands in for a memory only while it still covers the memory as written. The decision calls no model.
  • Knowledge IR. Constraint, check, remedy, selection, procedure and rationale atoms, each with a stable fingerprint.
  • User intelligence, local and model-free. Edit evidence, a risk gate that keeps habits out of security-sensitive work, and an oversight map.
  • Client renderers. One decision for the protocol channel, detection of installed hooks, and a one-time cleanup of files older versions left in a repository.

Pathrule Core v0.3.1

Choose a tag to compare

@sertanhelvaci sertanhelvaci released this 24 Aug 01:39

Highlights

  • Relevance decides the form, not only the order. The closest few entries are delivered as a full body and the rest as a name, an id and one line, so a correct ranking is never discarded for want of room.
  • Skills are offered by name, whatever their rank. A memory is a fact and a rule is a constraint, but a skill is a procedure: injecting one unasked instructs the assistant rather than informing it.
  • Rules earn their room. Rules now pass the same relevance test as everything else. A rule marked strict still keeps its body unconditionally.
  • A team block in the compiled instruction files. The team, the person the file belongs to, who is the reference for which area, and declared decision scope. Names, paths, tags and a declared scope only, capped at a small token budget, and appended last so a membership change leaves the knowledge prefix byte identical.
  • A pull ledger. Fetching something that was offered by name is recorded, and that label is what earns a full body on a later request. It performs file IO, so it is reachable only as a subpath import and never from the package barrel.

This snapshot is what @pathrule/cli@0.3.1 bundles.

Pathrule Core v0.3.0

Choose a tag to compare

@sertanhelvaci sertanhelvaci released this 22 Aug 20:02

Highlights

  • Learned ranking reaches the hook. The knowledge backend can now hand the hook a
    learned affinity weight per memory, written next to the warehouse and read when the
    hook picks which bodies to inject. It is used for ORDER only: the relevance floor still
    decides whether anything is sent, so a proven entry can win a tie and can never make
    the injected context larger.
  • A failed tool is recorded. The hook config writer registers the separate
    tool-failure event, so a read, edit or write that fails is observed and classified
    instead of passing unnoticed.
  • Local backend and schema carried forward from the same snapshot as the published
    @pathrule/cli v0.3.0, so the open source matches what the binary runs.

This snapshot is the core that @pathrule/cli@0.3.0 bundles.

Pathrule Core v0.2.0

Choose a tag to compare

@sertanhelvaci sertanhelvaci released this 11 Aug 17:53

Ships with @pathrule/cli v0.2.0. This snapshot is the engine that binary bundles.

Highlights

  • Path regions. Pathrule can now own a bounded section of an agent instruction file your project already had, instead of taking the file over. Everything outside its region is left untouched.
  • Region recovery. If that section is edited or deleted by hand, the engine detects it and restores it, so a stray edit does not silently stop context delivery.
  • Agent instruction channels. Delivery targets are derived per agent rather than configured one by one, so adding an agent does not mean re-declaring where its instructions live.
  • Leaf-type and ownership resolution. New helpers decide what a path actually is and who owns a managed file, which is what makes the region model safe on an existing repository.
  • Wider backend contract suite. The suite covers more of the KnowledgeBackend seam, so an alternative backend has more to prove itself against.
  • Correct native dependency range. The package now declares the better-sqlite3 major it is genuinely built and tested against.

Notes

The contract suite runs with plain vitest run. pnpm install && pnpm typecheck && pnpm test is green on a clean clone.

Full Changelog: v0.1.0...v0.1.4

Pathrule Core v0.1.0

Choose a tag to compare

@sertanhelvaci sertanhelvaci released this 12 Jun 22:03

Highlights

  • Per-prompt relevance. The engine embeds each prompt and ranks your memories, rules, and skills, so the hook delivers only the few most relevant full bodies for the task at hand instead of dumping everything. The agent answers from what it is given rather than searching the repo.
  • Bring your own key, or stay lexical. With a Voyage or OpenAI embedding key you get full semantic relevance; with no key it degrades gracefully to keyword ranking. Nothing blocks the prompt.
  • Cloud-free by construction. The open-source closure has zero cloud coupling — local-first, embedded SQLite, no account, Apache-2.0.
  • Native compilation + navigation. Path-scoped knowledge compiles into your turn-zero instruction files, with lightweight per-prompt routing hints toward the files that matter.

This release corresponds to @pathrule/cli@0.1.0 on npm.
