26.10.6

  • Prevent saved layouts from being overwritten by toolbar signals during layout restoration
    (for #3779)
  • Fixed missing GTK settings schemas that could crash the Qt6 Snap when opening a file or
    folder chooser, such as when selecting a new note folder on Pop!_OS with COSMIC/Wayland
    (for #3791)
    • The bundled schemas are now compiled during packaging instead of relying on a runtime
      compiler that may be absent from the base snap
    • Fixed Snap builds failing by ensuring the GTK part is primed before compiling the schemas
    • Qt6 Snaps now use the desktop portal file chooser instead of forcing GTK dialogs
    • The file chooser's home directory and suggested new note folders now use the real home
      directory, while existing settings, databases, caches, and note folder paths stay unchanged
  • Notes can now be shared on Nextcloud / ownCloud with a password in the Share note dialog,
    which is needed if your server enforces passwords for shared links
    (for #3788)
    • If sharing fails, the error message hints at the password field and focuses it
  • There was a new release of QOwnNotes for Android,
    v1.5.0
    • Notes can now be renamed from the editor's menu without leaving edit mode, optionally
      updating the first heading while preserving the latest draft and undo history
    • Checking or unchecking a task in view mode now preserves the note's scroll position
    • Account setup now clarifies that QOwnNotes or Notes is required on the Nextcloud server
      and Nextcloud Files on Android, not the Nextcloud Notes Android app; the missing-server-app
      error is localized and onboarding remains scrollable on smaller screens
    • The Refreshing status now stays as small as Available offline, without shifting
      the note list during refresh
    • Photo notes captured offline now display the local picture until it has been uploaded,
      instead of a red placeholder square
