A selectedTokenData undefined can come as a result of a failed price so set no route found in those cases to avoid trying to use the pay button.

Also enter loading state when selecting a new token/chain, this is needed because there is a delay between when the user selects it and when the data is available (the fetch-price call is complete)

📝 Walkthrough

Walkthrough

The changes in Initial.view.tsx involve restructuring context usage, enhancing error handling, and managing loading states within the component. The destructuring of tokenSelectorContext has been updated to include selectedChainID and selectedTokenAddress, simplifying context access. A new useEffect manages cross-chain transaction logic, loading, and error states. Error handling during transaction fee estimation has been improved, ensuring consistent loading state management. The dependency array for the fee estimation effect has been updated, and the checks for user connection and token validity have been streamlined.

33-41: Destructuring tokenSelectorContext to streamline access

Destructuring the tokenSelectorContext to directly access selectedTokenData, selectedChainID, selectedTokenAddress, and related setters improves code readability and maintainability.

92-92: Ensuring loading state is reset for non-cross-chain transactions

Adding setLoadingState('Idle') ensures that the loading state is properly reset when the transaction is not cross-chain, preventing potential UI issues.

116-117: Consistently resetting loading state after fee estimation

Including setLoadingState('Idle') in the finally block guarantees that the loading state is reset regardless of whether fee estimation succeeds or fails.

124-132: Handling missing selectedTokenData in cross-chain scenarios

Good addition of error handling when selectedTokenData is undefined in cross-chain transactions. This prevents attempts to proceed without necessary token information and improves user feedback.

135-135: Adding isXChain to effect dependencies

Including isXChain in the dependency array of the fee estimation useEffect ensures that the effect re-runs when the cross-chain status changes, maintaining accurate fee estimations.

137-146: Verify loading state management in token selection changes

The new useEffect recalculates isXChain and resets the loading and error states when selectedChainID or selectedTokenAddress change. Please verify that setting setLoadingState('Loading') here does not cause unnecessary loading indicators or negatively impact the user experience.
